With the talk of politics everwhere one goes it remains to be seen when our ministers who claim, by not retiring but planning on participating in next year’s election, are our leaders in the democractic Bhutan will finally resign and take their rightful place. What they are doing now makes me recall what they did in December 2003 - leaders taking the back seat. No bhutanese will forget what happened that year. Our ministers, so called our leaders, at Dochula bid farewell to HM the 4th Druk Gyalpo to lead our army and militias against the ULFAs. While HM risked his life for the bhutanese people our ministers remained within the confinement of the secured residents at the capital.

Today when our young aspiring leaders of tomorrow have sacrified and risked what little they have to participate in the coming democracy elections our ministers, most of whom earlier said politics was not of their interest, do not want to lose power and if they had their way would like to hold on to their ministership till the election day.

When given the power by HM to choose the leaders we want for a democractic Bhutan should we choose leaders with qualities our present ministers pose? We really have to make the correct decision when entrusted with the power to choose the leaders for a better Bhutan for our children.
